Gender Equality Strategy
Institute of Speleology "Emil Racoviță"
In line with Horizon Europe & the European GE Strategy 2020–2025
The Gender Equality (GE) Strategy for 2022–2025 was drafted by ISER based on contributions from the entire institute, taking into account everyone who works within it. The GE Strategy was built on the provisions of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers 2015–2019, the European Strategy for Gender Equality 2020–2025 and the Horizon Europe Guidance on Gender Equality Plans.
The motivation behind drafting the GE Strategy is to ensure that ISER is a safe place for everyone, and that all activities and processes taking place respect the principles of equality, diversity, inclusion and non-discrimination.
Based on the GE Strategy, ISER has drafted the Gender Equality Plan (GEP) for 2023–2026, with concrete actions and measures, as well as indicators for measuring the progress of implementation and revisions. The objectives of the GE Strategy are implemented through specific actions aimed at guaranteeing an equal and inclusive organisational culture and promoting gender equality at all levels.
